On June 22, 2017, Bart Forbes was inducted into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame.
Bart Forbes has been one of America's most recognized illustrators for many years and, in recent years, has found success as a gallery artist as well. His clients have included such well-known publications as Time and Sports Illustrated and corporate clients have included NBC, the NFL, ABC-TV, The Kentucky Derby, Indianapolis 500, the Green Bay Packers and the America's Cup, to name only a few. Bart has created many paintings for PGA golf tournaments and clubhouses including seven murals that hang in the PGA's TPC Clubhouse at Sawgrass, Florida. He was honored in 1988 as the Official Artist for the Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea. Bart has designed over 20 postage stamps for the US Postal Service, including the President Ronald Reagan Centennial stamp. And two of Bart's paintings hang in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC.
In 2018, Bart was selected as one of the "Most Influential Alumni" of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
